Today while my Mom got her nails painted, I got dropped off for a day at the spa too. My coat was shedding and I needed professional help, so I got a much needed bath and brush! They also tried to trim my nails, but I made it clear that this was in no way relaxing. I just gave them one of those “you’d better make this quick” looks. She knew I meant business. When my Mom came to pick me up I was really glad to see her. They told her I was really well behaved and that I was a really beautiful sheltie! I blushed a little, but deep inside, I knew it was true…all shelties are beautiful!
This year, my people made up these doggie bags to give away to all my doggie friends. Inside there are gingerbread treats for dogs!!! It was so hard to see them go. I asked if we could just keep them all, but my people ignored my request. I don’t think they understand how delicious they really are. They are so delicious that one night, I found an open box in the pantry, low enough that I was able to take it off the shelf. While my people were sound asleep, I ate the rest of them all up! Merry Christmas to me!This is my first Christmas with my new people. They hung this ornament of me on a tree, which, by-the-way is located inside their family room. Why do humans bring the trees inside the house? Sometimes I wish they could talk so I could understand what they are thinking.
I was tricked again. My Mom used my favorite yummy treats to lure me into her photo studio. I am powerless against those treats. Luckily she didn’t mess up my fur by making me wear one of those ridiculous costumes again. For that, I will be forever grateful.
For all her trouble, the least I could do was sit up on this scratchy hay bale and pose like a princess…It was worth it, I got more than my usual share of treats so I’d say it was a win-win!
