Finals Week Survival Kit

Finals Week Survival KitFinals Survival kit

Grab the coffee and snacks and get ready to hit the books…it’s finals week!! For high school and college students, there isn’t a more stress-filled week (academically) than finals week. Studying for hours on end, cramming as much information into your tired brain as possible. This week is finals week at our house…the very first of many to come. To ease the pressure just a teeny, tiny bit I put together these Finals Week Survival Kits for my daughter and a few of her close friends. Included in the Survival Kit are Starbucks Frappuccino drinks, Starbucks cookies, coffee flavored candies, sticky notes, new pens and Smartfood cheesy popcorn —get it…SMARTfood!

How cute are these frappuccino cookies!! All wrapped up in a cellophane bag and tied with a coordinating blue ribbon, they are the perfect compliment to the Mocha Fraps I also included in the basket. Although I’m not advocating to load up your high school students with coffee, let’s face it, they drink coffee like it’s water anyway. As a late bloomer, I didn’t really start drinking coffee until I entered the daily exhaustion of motherhood. However, if Starbucks had been around when I was in high school, {yes, I’m THAT old} you can bet I would have partaken in a sugary caffeinated mocha or two to help me stay awake during those long hours of finals week!

Since her school colors are blue and yellow, I tried to keep that in mind when looking for all the goodies for this kit. This locker-style bin I found at the Dollar Tree was the perfect way to contain all the survival supplies. I added yellow gift bag filler to the bottom (also purchased at the Dollar Tree) and wrapped everything all up in a giant cello bag and tied with a satin ribbon. In order to pull everything together, I created a tag to explain the contents of the basket. I think they turned out really cute and all the girls were thrilled with their little surprise!
