    Grab the coffee and snacks and get ready to hit the books…it’s finals week!! For high school and college students, there isn’t a more stress-filled week (academically) than finals week. Studying for hours on end, cramming as much information into your tired brain as possible. This week is finals week at our house…the very first of many to come. To ease the pressure just a teeny, tiny bit I put together these Finals Week Survival Kits for my daughter and a few of her close friends.     Beachy Graduation Party

    8th Grade Promotion Luncheon Just days ago my baby girl had her 8th grade promotion ceremony and is now moving on to high school in just a few months! This calls for a celebration! For her luncheon, we decided on a soup bar. I served salmon chowder and French onion soup with crusty bread sticks, croissants, spinach artichoke spread, shrimp and krab. About a month ago, I found these cute seafood forks at Tuesday Morning. It’s not entirely clear in the photo, but they have a crab at the top. I thought they were perfect for serving up the krab.     Designated Lunch Cupboard

    I’m always thinking of better ways to make our school routines run smoother. With back to school just around the corner I thought I’d share what we are doing to make the task of packing school lunches more stream-line. Way back when we were planning out our kitchen cabinets, I was very specific about what kinds of things we needed to store. I made lists of the items I knew were used together and grouped them into stations.
