A Year of Coffee Flights at Country Coffee

CC Sit N Sip in Boring, Oregon has the most adorable coffee flights. New seasonal flavors are offered every month paired with sweet treats. When we visited in January we decided to make this our monthly coffee date, so I present you with a year of coffee flights recap:

January Coffee Flight

The Horeseshoe Latte had cinnamon and tasted like the rice pudding my mom used to make at Christmas. This was our favorite. The Cowgirl Latte was the least sweet. I don’t know if I detected a dominant flavor, but it was nice to have something less sweet. The Haystack Mocha had a caramel flavor and was the most sweet. We ended up mixing 2&3 together. Mel’s White Mocha was smooth and the perfect sweetness. It was our second favorite.

February Coffee Flight

Here’s a quick look at the coffee flight we enjoyed for our February Coffee Date at CC Sit N Sip. I love anything chocolate mint, so the Mint Truffle Mocha was my favorite, followed by the Sweetheart Latte which has a raspberry cupcake flavor. All in all, they were pretty sweet, so we ended up purchasing a regular coffee to balance out the other drinks. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for next month!

March Coffee Flight

For the month of March, we asked for half sweet which didn’t take away from the flavors at all. My favorites in order of preference are: Lucky Charm (white chocolate, hazelnut, toasted marshmallow), Pistachio Chai (tasted like a nice, mellow chai), Gold Digger (kind of chocolaty), and the Nutty Irishman (hazelnut and Irish cream. This was the least sweet and although I couldn’t detect the Irish cream, I thought this one balanced out the sweetness from the other drinks.)

April Coffee Flight

April’s selection was a fun mix of flavors, but overall they were more subtle. I ordered mine half sweet again this time and it was perfect. Here is the breakdown of April’s coffee:

The Cinnamon Roll Chai (Oregon chai with shortbread and brown sugar and cinnamon). The chai was the lightest flavor and our barista said it was a popular drink. The Fluffy bunny (coconut dark mocha) tasted just like a mounds candy bar. I couldn’t figure out the flavor in the Peep latte so I asked and the barista who said it was an orange toasted marshmallow latte. The Carrot cake mocha was my favorite this month and was made with white mocha with butter pecan real cinnamon and a dash of pineapple syrup.

May Coffee Flight

When I saw Country Coffee post their May coffee flight on Instagram I was so excited. I love floral flavors and will 100% order a rose or lavender latte if I see it on the menu. As per usual we ordered our flight half sweet. The rose and lavender lattes did not disappoint, but between the two, the lavender gets my top choice award! I enjoy hibiscus iced tea, so I was curious about the white chocolate version. While I didn’t really detect a strong hibiscus flavor, it was still a good drink. Of the four, the huckleberry chai was my least favorite. The syrup flavor tasted pretty artificial to me, but Dan liked it, so it was a win for him. Overall, lavender wins for flavor and honey rose latte wins for presentation.
