A Visit to The Grateful Vineyard in Hood River

An early fall visit to The Grateful Vineyard yields fields of sunflowers with a stunning view of Mt Hood. The Grateful Vineyard has been open since 2019 and can be found on-site at Mt View Orchards in Hood River. Reservations at Grateful Vineyard fill up fast on the weekend. If you don’t mind a more casual dining experience, there are picnic tables set out so you can still enjoy your take-out with an amazing Mt Hood view.

Sunflowers and Cider at Grateful VineyardThe staff was so friendly and explained all their seasonal offerings, including their delicious selection of hard ciders. Their cider menu includes peach, cranberry, blackberry and their house cider Golden Row Cider, made from apples grown on Mt. View’s 100-year-old apple trees. They also have a nice selection of beer and of course, wine. After sampling the seasonal Strawberry Rhubarb cider, we decided that was definitely our top choice. They offer cider on tap for $7 a glass, $30 per growler and they even had these cute growlettes for $13, which is what we chose.

Sunflowers and Cider at Grateful Vineyard  Orchard Pear Pizza at Grateful VineyardWhy have an ordinary pepperoni pizza when you can have a Mt View Orchards Pear Pizza? I mean really, the pears are grown in orchards just steps away from the table. This farm to table pizza experience featured pear slices, Gorgonzola cheese, bacon, mozzarella, Golden Row Cider rosemary caramelized onion. Yeah, it was pretty amazing!
