25 Great Birthday Discounts

This year for my birthday, I turned 29 AGAIN! To celebrate, I made it my mission to take advantage of as many birthday discounts as I could! It was such a fun challenge! There were so many places to chose from that you can literally go out for breakfast, lunch, dinner AND dessert for free! I wasn’t able to check off all 25 Great Birthday Discounts, but I made a pretty good dent!

25 Birthday Deals

Most of these deals require you to sign up for their “birthday club” which is just another way to get you on their email list. Quid pro quo, I guess. Although you will get some great birthday freebies, you will also be receiving lots of junk email as a result. Luckily, you can always unsubscribe if it gets to be too much. The following links will direct you to the sign-up page for each company mentioned. Note: Some of these offers are specific to the Portland metro area. As with any special offer, these are subject to change and may vary by location.

Chang’s Mongolian Grill – Receive your meal free on your birthday with proof of birth date (drivers license or birth certificate). You don’t need to sign up for anything, just bring your ID.
Black Bear Diner – Sign up and receive a coupon for a free breakfast valid up to 12 days after your birthday. This free breakfast includes 2 large pancakes, 2 eggs and your choice of bacon or sausage!
Red Robin – Get a free burger during your birthday month when you sign up for Red Robin Royalty.
Nothing Bundt Cakes – You will recieve a free mini buntlet on your birthday when you join their eclub
Krispy Creme – Free doughnut on your birthday when you sign up for Krispy Creme Rewards. Somehow I also managed to get a free coffee just for signing up!
Dutch Bros – Do you love Dutch Bros? How about a Free Dutch Bros coffee on your birthday, any size! Yesss! Nothing to sign up for, just bring your ID.
Sephora – Sign up for their Beauty Insider email and get a free gift on your birthday. You can select between several products…and you will probably end up buying more because their up-selling game is strong!
IKEA – If you are an IKEA Family Club member and you also sign up for their email, you will receive a coupon for $15 off your Ikea purchase AND a free meal with cake!! This generous offer is good for the entire month of your birthday.
Ihop – Free pancakes on your birthday when you sign up for MyHop,
Waffle Window – Free waffle on your birthday when you join the Waffle Club
La Provence/Petite Provence – Free tart on your birthday. When I called, I was told you don’t need to sign up for anything, just mention you are celebrating your birthday!
Baskin Robbins– Free 2.5 oz birthday ice cream scoop. A coupon will be emailed to you when you sign up for their Birthday Club.
Benihana – Receive a complimentary $30 Benihana Birthday Certificate during the month of your birthday when you register for The Chef’s Table.
Denny’s – Free grand slam breakfast on your birthday when you show your ID and sign up for their email list.
Applebees – Free appetizer for signing up and another freebie on your birthday. Offer varies.
Elmer’s – Enjoy a free German Pancake (My recipe for Dutch babies HERE) on your birthday when you sign up for Elmer’s eClub
Gustav’s – Free apple strudel when you come in to celebrate your birthday. *You can also get a free strudel on your anniversary!
Old Country Buffet – Receive a free buffet meal on your birthday when you sign up for the Crave Connection.
Jamba Juice – A free birthday smoothie awaits you when you sign up for the Jamba Juice Reward Program.
Spaghetti Factory – Free birthday meal when you sign up for the Factory Family Club. One offer per email. You can also sign up for the Kid’s birthday club for anyone under 12 years old.
Pip’s Original Donuts – Free mini dozen doughnuts on your birthday or up to 7 days after!
Regal Cinemas – Free small popcorn with a Regal Crown Club account. No physical card needed. Just log into the Regal app and and then show them the QR code to get the free popcorn.
Shari’s – If pie is more your thing, you can receive a free slice of pie on your birthday when you sign up for the Shari’s Rewards program.
Melting pot – Receive a voucher for a complimentary box of six Signature ChocolateDipped Strawberries for your birthday!
Ulta – Get a free gift on your birthday plus earn 2X points on all purchases in your birthday month when you sign up for Ultamate Rewards.

The first 7 birthday deals in bold are the offers that I was able to use this year. (BTW, on your birthday it’s totally fine to have two coffees!) Next year I will plan a little better to fit in a few more deals! Which of these 25 Birthday Discounts do you plan to try?

More Great Birthday Deals

These last discounts aren’t offered in the Portland area, but if you are traveling out of state during your birthday month you should definitely take advantage of these deals:

Midieval Times – Sign up for the Birthday Fellowship and receive a coupon via email that is valid for your birth month and the first seven days of the following month. This is a BOGO deal and is redeemable with the purchase of one full-priced adult admission. It’s a great savings! We were able to take advantage of this when we were vacationing in California over Christmas break.
